Carley is a Blue & Gold Macaw female who hatched in 1989 and arrived in August, 2008, at The Oasis Sanctuary. She was rescued in the Midwest and rehabilitated. But, the right family just did not come along and the organization’s founder needed to place Carley with The Oasis because of personal health issues. Carley fell right in with the recent arrivals that summer of 2008 when we opened our 4,000 square foot 2-story Macaw Aviary. Carley made friends with others and realized she loves to stay up in the rafters. There she met her new mate, Murphy – a Military Macaw. Needless to say Carley is an accomplished flier, just like her friends.
