Mission:
The Oasis Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization committed to the compassionate care and welfare of displaced and exploited parrots. In our facility, we provide safe, stable, and nurturing life-long sanctuary, as well as education and advocacy in support of avian conservation.
Vision:
We envision the day when the need for parrot sanctuaries is unnecessary.
To bring this mission and vision to life, The Oasis Sanctuary is dedicated to fulfilling the following core objectives:
- Provide Permanent Sanctuary: We offer a lifelong, safe and loving home to any captive Psittacine (parrot-type bird) that is otherwise unplaceable in traditional homes, provided they are free from fatal, contagious diseases.
- Build Naturalistic Habitats: We design and construct expansive, naturalistic free-flight aviaries to give our resident birds the freedom, socialization, and environment they truly deserve and need to thrive.
- Collaborate for Avian Welfare: We actively partner with bona fide avian and animal welfare organizations to ensure captive parrots find safe homes while fighting to protect wild populations from commercial exploitation.
- Educate and Advocate: We engage and educate the public about the complex needs of Psittacines, promoting proper care in captivity and advocating for the vital need to protect parrots in the wild.
