Dr. Julie Yeager has always had a deep love for animals and decided at an early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She began working in veterinary clinics in high school and continued to work in the field during her undergraduate education where she majored in Veterinary Science, and all through vet school as well. Dr. Yeager planned to pursue Equine Medicine when she started veterinary school at Colorado State University, however she began spending time in the zoological and exotic animal department where she became fascinated with these special creatures and the unique aspects of avian medicine and surgery. Following graduation from veterinary school in 2007, she completed an internship and additional year of residency training in avian and exotic animal medicine at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa, Florida. She returned to Arizona in 2009 and began working in practice with a focus in Avian and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Yeager has been providing veterinary care for the Oasis residents for the past 10 years.
