Bogie

A children’s foster home relinquished Bogie, the Quaker Parrot because the children in the home were teasing and torturing Bogie through the bars of his cage. After two years in rehabilitation, it was clear that Bogie was not going to accept human companionship. The Oasis Sanctuary became Bogie’s forever home in October 2021. Bogie is a skilled flier and a gifted nest weaver. He will flourish in our Quaker 3-part aviary.

Note that Oasis caregivers provide nest materials nearly every day. However, all the material is removed at the end of each day. We do not encourage breeding, we only provide material to satisfy natural behaviors.
