Zigzag

Meet Zigzag, a very skeptical but energetic little Goffin’s Cockatoo who was relinquished to a local
humane society. He arrived with an Umbrella female who was focused only on human relationships.
Zigzag tried to demand her attention and when he became aggressive the staff had to house the birds
separately. After months of adoption interviews it seemed no one would take both birds together into
their home. Applications were pouring in for the sweet female Umbrella while Zigzag waited for his
special person. Knowing that Zigzag could not remain in the shelter long term, Oasis agreed to help.
Zigzag is safe in foster care at The Oasis. He is receiving love and individualized care during his transition.
At first, he was fearful and nervous but has finally begun to show his silly Goffin’s personality. We hope
that in time, he will relax and enjoy his new life, with new cockatoo friends.
