Caring for 800 birds at The Oasis Sanctuary is a nonstop labor of love, with an annual budget of $1.6 million. Yes, that’s a big number but it’s what it takes to provide nutritious food, medical care, enrichment, loving caregivers; to operate facilities, maintain equipment and provide safe housing for on-site staff and every bird who calls The Oasis home, every day!

Each year, we meticulously craft and follow a budget, which is carefully reviewed and approved by our Board. We are fully committed to fiscal responsibility and making every dollar count. But even with the most careful planning, unexpected needs and projects often arise, which can be a hardship, especially with a slowdown in donations.
