What is a Member?

In the years since 1997, when The Oasis Sanctuary was first founded, we have been asked to explain the difference between being a Donor versus becoming a Member of The Oasis. In all honesty, for a long time there was no discernable difference. None of us could have clearly explained the difference, or explained why one should become a Member instead of simply donating funds, goods or services. But that has changed.

As a Donor, you are supporting our programs and projects, contributing to the work we do. Donations are essential, providing the dedicated funding for our many daily tasks and ongoing expansions and improvements.

Being an Oasis Member shows an ongoing belief in and support of what The Oasis Sanctuary does, why the Sanctuary exists. It shows your faith in our Mission to lovingly care for otherwise homeless parrots. An Oasis Membership tells the world that you are part of the organization, part of the driving energy which has helped create The Oasis and now will further the Goals and Vision… to provide a safety net for the Birds of The Oasis Sanctuary. Being a Member provides the platform, the financial basis from which we can move into the future.

In return, as a Member of the Oasis, we offer special incentives and discounts. This is our way of thanking each and every one of you for being part of the fabric, the woven safety net you have helped to create which provides safe haven for these endangered, intelligent, beautiful birds we all love.

At The Oasis we hear about an ever-increasing number of birds who need immediate placement. And, sadly, we are forced to turn away many needy and deserving parrots every year.

The need is great. We have the space. We have the desire. We have the systems in place.

We only need your support!

Today, more than ever, it is urgent that you become a Member if you are not one already... and help us grow by encouraging your bird and animal-loving friends to join us and become a Member of the Oasis as well.
